Most insurance websites were built around the product list and the quote engine, not around a customer trying to work out whether a policy fits them. We design yours so the right visitor reaches the right product page, trusts what they see and starts a quote.

Is Website Design & UX right for your business?
Slow pages, confusing menus and product pages that bury the quote button quietly push good customers away, even when the site looks fine at first glance. We rebuild your site around how customers actually search, compare and decide. The result is a clear, credible website that answers the key questions quickly, shows why you can be trusted and gets people to a quote.
This service is built for
- Insurers, brokers and MGAs with a site that feels dated, hard to navigate or off-brand
- Leadership teams who want the website to reflect the quality of their cover and service
- Businesses already paying for traffic who want product pages that turn more of it into quotes
Probably not the right first step
- Businesses starting from scratch, with no brand or products yet
- Businesses with no clear proposition yet, where positioning work comes first
- Businesses outside insurance
Customers who find you through search, social or a recommendation check your website before they start a quote. Their expectations are set by the best consumer websites, not by other insurers. And every channel you pay for lands on these pages, so a weak page wastes the spend behind it.
Insurance pages also carry more than most. A customer needs to see what is covered and what is not, who provides the cover, how claims work and that you are authorised by the FCA, and the page has to stay clear, fair and not misleading while it does all that. We design for that from the start rather than adding it at the end.
If you want your existing site to properly represent your business and sell more policies, this is for you.
How our Website Design & UX programme works
UX, brand and performance audit
We review your site structure, product pages, quote entry points, mobile experience and speed, then identify what helps and what hinders a customer who is trying to understand a policy and start a quote.
We read your own Analytics and Search Console to see which pages bring people in and where they leave before the quote starts. Then we go through the site the way a customer would, on a phone and on a desktop: is the route to a quote obvious, do the trust signals sit where people look for them (FCA status, reviews, how claims work, policy documents and IPIDs), and does each page load quickly. A senior strategist signs off the findings before you see them.
Structure, navigation and page blueprints
We redesign your site architecture around real customer journeys, with clear menus, product groupings and page templates, so each type of customer can quickly reach the cover they need.
A blueprint is a page-by-page plan, not a mood board. For every page in scope it sets out the job the page has to do, who it is for, which question it answers first, where the quote button sits, which trust signals belong on it and which pages it links to. Product pages get their own templates, so a search for public liability insurance for builders lands on a page written for builders rather than on the homepage. Every page and menu item is checked against the current site before anything is built, so nothing that earns visits today is lost.
Visual design and user experience
We refresh or rebuild key layouts and components so they are consistent, readable, accessible and on brand, and so the reviews, claims information and policy documents that build trust are easy to find.
The work is done as a set of components, not one-off pages: headings, calls to action, what is and is not covered, review panels, FCA status lines and policy document links, each designed once and reused everywhere. That keeps the site consistent after launch, when new products are added by people who were not in the room. Every layout is designed for mobile and desktop and checked for readability and accessibility before it is built. Cover and price wording is written to be clear, fair and not misleading from the first draft, ready for your compliance sign-off.
Build, quote engine and handover
We work with your in-house developers, your quote engine provider or your agency to build the new designs, then provide guidance and documentation so the site stays coherent as you add products and pages.
Your quote engine may be built in-house or supplied by a software house, and it may also feed your quotes to price comparison sites. We design around how it works rather than asking you to replace it: the same look and wording from product page into the quote, and details a customer has already given carried through wherever the platform allows, with every change agreed with whoever owns that integration. Before anything moves, redirects, page titles and internal links are planned from the old site to the new, so a redesign does not cost you rankings you already hold.
Measurement after launch
Once the new pages are live, we measure them against the pre-launch baseline: visits, quote starts and policies sold by page, read from your own Analytics and Search Console rather than a tool’s estimate, alongside rankings for every page that moved.
Reporting is weekly and written for the leadership team: what changed, what it produced, and where the site is now winning and losing quotes. Where a page still loses people, we say which and why, so the next decision is made on evidence. Testing changes on those pages one at a time is a separate service, CRO, and we will tell you when you are ready for it.
Outcomes you can expect
Our goal is simple: a website customers trust, find easy to use and buy from.
A clear, consistent design that reflects your brand and your range of cover
Every page is built from the same set of components, so the site reads as one business from the homepage to the last product page, and it stays that way as new products are added.
Clear navigation, so customers reach the right product and the quote quickly
Menus follow the way customers describe what they need, such as cover for a van or a rented-out flat, not your internal product names or team structure.
Faster, easier pages on mobile, with fewer people leaving before the quote starts
Speed and the route from landing page to quote start are measured page by page after launch, so the gain is shown rather than assumed.
Stronger trust at the moment a customer decides
FCA status, reviews, how claims work and policy documents sit where a customer looks for them, and cover is described clearly and fairly, so the site reads as a business that stands behind its policies.
Written to the FCA's financial promotion rules and Consumer Duty from the first draft, ready for your compliance sign-off.
Packages from £2,800 a month, with a 50% lead-growth target and a service-credit guarantee from Tier 2.
See packagesQuestions insurers ask about Website Design & UX
Do we need a new website, or can you improve the one we have?
Usually the one you have. Most of the gain comes from fixing the pages that bring in visits and lose quotes. A full rebuild is the right answer only when the structure itself is the problem.
Will you work with our quote engine and in-house developers?
Yes. We design around the quote platform you have, whether it is built in-house or supplied by a software house, and agree every change with the people who own it.
Will a redesign hurt our search rankings?
Not if it is planned. Redirects, titles and internal links are planned from the old site to the new before anything moves, and rankings are checked after launch for every page that moved.
Where do FCA status, policy documents and IPIDs go?
On each product page, where a customer looks before buying, not hidden in the footer. We design the space for them; the wording is yours and your compliance team approves it.
We already work with an agency. Is this still useful?
Often. We can design and specify the pages while your agency or developers build them. On the call we talk through what your site needs and whether we would add to what you have.
